Burning Calories
It seems like most women are either on a diet or thinking about going on one. If you really want to lose weight you should transform "calories burn" from a good idea into the core of your lifestyle. We all know this is an enormous and difficult task but it is also the only viable solution. No one but you can influence your body into burning calories and increasing metabolic rate. You need to keep in mind that all physical activity burns calories even activities like sleeping, standing or sitting. Slow weight loss is known to be the most effective and safest plan. Dropping one pound per week leads to long term loss of weight.
I bet you want to find out how come your skinny friend doesn't get fat from all that junk food and snacks. You can eat as much as you like as long as you learn how to speed up rate of burning calories. The number of calories you need to burn is strictly connected to your weight. Therefore, the heavier a person is, the more difficult it is to lose weight.
First of all, you might consider giving up that nasty snack habit and start eating foods that burn more calories than they contain. If you've never heard of that before, they are also called negative calorie foods and they seem to burn more calories than they offer. These low-calorie snacks include: Celery, Cucumbers, Carrots, Apricots, Grapefruit, Lettuce, Strawberries, Oranges, Tangerines, Tomatoes, Apples, Watermelon, Cauliflower, Zucchini and Hot Chili Peppers.
There are also other tactics you might want to consider:
1.Keep moving! You must take every opportunity to move. Take a brisk walk to the grocery store, or to your office. Take the stairs instead of an elevator. Switch channels manually instead of using the remote control. Intend to walk at least 1 hour every day.
2. Adopt a habit of changing position, moving your feet, swinging your legs, squeezing a rubber ball or clenching and releasing your muscles while sitting. Can you believe that such simple activities can burn up to 500 calories a day?
3. Choose spicy dishes. Eating spicy food, especially chilli is another way to stimulate the metabolism and burn calories during the day.
4. Eat frequent small meals. There is evidence to show that eating little and often will keep your metabolism going faster than stuffing yourself with larger, less frequent meals.
